Last call for present hunters!

For all you wonderful fair people out there, I present to you one last treasure-hunt-tip for (your) man :

Go for wood !

Wooden accessories often create a cool and sophisticated appearance without a snobistic or a too-much-yuppie-look and that….. I like 🙂

What I also like is the wonderful story of three German friends who decided to built a label with wooden accessories out of a great idea of sustainability: for each product that you’re buying from Kerbholz , they plant a tree in Central America.

My man is already responsible for one watch-tree, what about yours? 🙂

A couple of my favorites! I bought my man the darkbrown one on the left, he loves it :-)

So Eco is my tree !

First of all : Merry Christmas dear fair friends!

Second : I asked you a couple of weeks ago in this article how eco your christmastree is, I told about my tree that became 3 this year and how I try every year to find a new creative way to decorate my paper friend. This year, I gave him a touch of gold and 2nd hand christmas balls : See for it yourself!

From shirt to boxer : Upcycling with ‘Van Hulley ‘

It’s a man’s world this month!

For all you guys out there: this month is full of *sugar* for your appearance: Tips to turn you in a fair and fashionable man in 2015 ow yeah!

For all the not-so-single-ladies out there : I offer you gift tips to make your man even more *yummie*

I introduce to you.. Upcycling

Upcycling basically means that you take something that you do not need anymore in his natural form and re-use it in another shape.

For example : My man had still a lot of pre-work clothes in his closet and in my christmassy gift mood (and maybe also just a tiny little bit because I can use the closet space), I gave myself a solution for this peculiar problem.. I gave away a lot of clothes to a social program in the neighborhood  but there’s always that one piece that really means something to you or is actually worth keeping.. The shirt in the pictures is not really my style but we share great memories about it so it deserved a special treatment!

That special treatment became a Van Hulley -experiment! I learned about the Van Hulley initiative on the Mint Platform at the Fashion Fair in Amsterdam and I just fell for this wonderfull project. Van Hulley uses old shirts and turns them into boxershorts and does it very nicely I may add. They are also doing great storytelling as you can see in the pictures beneath : nice envelope, nice poetry and a congrats-card.

Mission accomplished! I did some Upcycling from a shirt that wasn’t used as a shirt anymore and turned it into a Fair Christmas gift to make my man even more *yummie*

Stay tuned for more man-treats this month!

*How How How* Eco is your tree?

It’s getting colder outside and….Mister Santa is right around the corner!

So it’s quite possible, ladies, that you’re already in the decorate-mood to make your living room totally christmassy 🙂

For those of you who are : I would like to share an idea to give your christmastree an eco-touch because what fits more the christmas spirit than a caring heart, right?

3 years ago my boyfriend and I bought a paper christmastree, which we can re-use for several years- and every year we are trying to find a new creative way to decorate it.

Year 1 : stuffed it full of cuddly animals
